JISH Operations

Jefferson Island Storage & Hub (JISH or Jefferson Island) owns and operates a salt dome natural gas storage and hub facility, including 15 miles of dual pipelines that connect the storage caverns to nine major pipelines. JISH also has a direct connection to the Henry Hub, via the Sabine pipeline. Its primary business is to serve natural gas storage markets and provide natural gas supplies to meet the needs of customers in Louisiana, much of the Gulf Coast, Southeast and areas of the Midwest and Northeast.

JISH provides firm storage and interruptible services on behalf of shippers. Firm storage service means any injection, storage, withdrawal and associated transportation services provided by JISH on a firm basis at the facilities. Interruptible service means that the service is subject to interruption at any time by JISH in order to accommodate the use of the facilities, or any part thereof, by (i) any customer contracting for service on a firm basis, (ii) JISH for any reason in its sole discretion, or (iii) any interruptible customer with a higher priority.

Depending on customer requirements, JISH, through the assistance of Pivotal, may also provide the following services:

• Sale of natural gas at various points along the JISH pipeline infrastructure
• Wheel customers’ gas along the JISH pipeline infrastructure
• Provide injection, withdraw, park and loan, and dome swap services to our customers

Firm Storage Services means any injection, storage, withdrawal and associated transportation services provided by Jefferson Island on a Firm Basis at the Facilities. Subject to the terms of this Statement of Operating Terms and Conditions and Customer’s Service Agreement, Jefferson Island shall provide storage service on a Firm Basis at the Storage Facilities for Customer, which service shall include the reservation of capacity in the Storage Facilities, on a Firm Basis, for Customer sufficient to enable Customer to inject gas into, withdraw gas from, and store gas in the Storage Facilities, in quantities up to the maximum quantities set forth in the Customer’s Service Agreement.

Interruptible Wheeling Service (“IWS”) rendered by Jefferson Island to Customer under this Statement of Operating Terms and Conditions shall consist of the transportation of gas, on an Interruptible Basis, by Jefferson Island for Customer on Jefferson Island’s Facilities between agreed upon Point(s) of Receipt and Point(s) of Delivery.

Interruptible Parking Service (“IPS”) rendered by Jefferson Island to Customer under this Statement of Operating Terms and Conditions shall consist of the receipt , injection, storage, withdrawal and delivery of Customer’s gas, on an interruptible basis, by Jefferson Island. Customer agrees to withdraw the parked gas from Jefferson Island’s Facilities at a time to be agreed upon and consistent with other terms and conditions as set forth in the Interruptible Transaction with Customer.

Interruptible Loan Service (“ILS”) rendered by Jefferson Island to Customer under this Statement of Operating Terms and Conditions shall consist of the advancement to Customer of gas on an interruptible basis by Jefferson Island. Customer agrees to replace the borrowed quantities of gas to Jefferson Island at a time to be agreed upon and consistent with other terms and conditions as set forth in the Interruptible Transaction with Customer.

Overrun Service (IT) Overrun Service rendered by Jefferson Island to Customer under this Statement of Operating Terms and Conditions shall consist of the injection and storage or withdrawal and delivery, on an Interruptible Basis, by Jefferson Island for Customer, of quantities of Gas that is in excess of a Shipper’s MDWQ or MDIQ under a Transaction Confirmation; provided however, that customer will not exceed its MSQ, in the case of injection Overrun Service, or that Customer has adequate gas in storage, in case of withdrawal Overrun Service.
