Tim Goodson

Vice President, Midstream Services


Tim Goodson was promoted to vice president, Midstream Services, in 2010 to oversee the development and operation of the company’s two salt dome storage facilities, Golden Triangle Storage in Texas and Jefferson Island Storage & Hub in Louisiana.

Mr. Goodson brings more than 33 years of operations, project management, safety and environmental experience to this role, 13 of which have been spent in the energy industry. After joining AGL Resources in 1999 as a consultant, Mr. Goodson was eventually tapped to lead the company’s Environmental, Health & Safety and Crisis Management organization. Most recently, he served as managing director, Midstream Services, Pivotal Energy Development.

Before joining AGL Resources, Mr. Goodson held positions within the gas, chemical and oil gas industries at Allied Signal, Union Texas Petroleum, Rhone Poulenc Inc. and The RETEC Group, Inc.

Mr. Goodson is active in the American Gas Association, serving on the Operations Safety Regulatory Action, the Environmental Regulatory Action and the Underground Storage committees. He also serves on the Underground Storage Committee of the Southern Gas Association, and he is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and the American Industrial Hygiene Association.

He served as a board member of the Chattahoochee Nature Center, the Georgia Industry Environmental Coalition, and Trees Atlanta. He is also a graduate of Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership. He is past chairman of Troop 795 Committee, Boys Scouts of America.

Mr. Goodson earned his bachelor of science from Clemson University and his master of science from the University of South Carolina.
