Richard A. Siegel

Director, Regulatory Market Analysis


Richard A. Siegel joined Pivotal Energy Development as director of regulatory market analysis in 2006. He is responsible for all aspects of regulatory analysis at the federal and state levels. He also coordinates all filings made with the respective regulatory agencies and commissions in support of Pivotal’s gas trading, asset management and gas origination business.

Mr. Siegel came to Pivotal from Duke Energy where he served as director of gas regulatory affairs for Duke Energy North America. He spent five years there in positions within regulatory affairs.

Prior to Duke Energy, Mr. Siegel spent 13 years in regulatory and business planning functions with Kinder-Morgan, Inc. Before that, he spent eight years with Tennessee Gas Pipeline in the rates, regulatory and transportation departments.

Mr. Siegel is a member of the American Gas Association’s Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Regulatory Committee and is a former member of the Natural Gas Association of Houston, the National Energy Services Association and the Electric Power Supply Association’s Gas Working Group. 
 
Mr. Siegel has been involved in various charitable organization activities, including Habitat for Humanity, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.  He is also a member of BSF International.

Mr. Siegel is a graduate of Texas State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

He resides in west Houston with his wife and son.
